Cabernet Franc

From grapes grown at Pollak Vineyards in Greenwood, VA and at Carter’s Mountain in Charlottesville, VA, this wine achieved optimal maturity of our Cabernet Franc grapes. Harvested at 25 brix, the wine was put through a traditional maceration and fermentation, allowing the skins to stay in contact with the wine for a month. Aged in French oak (50% new) for 15 months, the wine has complete integration of fruit and oak.


Tasting Notes

This Cabernet Franc, rich with dark red fruit aromas, is wrapped by the tannins and oak that make for a very heavy style of Cabernet Franc. This wine has complete integration of fruit and oak. The wine is built to last and will age nicely for 10-12 years.
