Petit Verdot
This gentle monster unites two underappreciated varieties that are used primarily for blending in Bordeaux. We have discovered Petit Verdot grown under highly restricted yields adds a ripe, distinctive and important age-worthy component.
TASTING Notes
This wine exhibits enchanting aromas of roses, lavender, and ripe plums with blackberries, dark chocolate and minerality on the palate that lead to a finish that goes on and on. This wine was aged for 15 months in two-thirds new and one-third seasoned French oak.

Vineyard Notes
The estate vineyard in Mattituck that Schneider Vineyards planted and has maintained since 2002 is the sole source for the limited production Schneider wines. The Mattituck vineyard has 11 acres of red Bordeaux varieties predominately Cabernet Franc and an additional 3 acres of Syrah. Schneider Vineyards made 4 different Cabernet Franc focused wines in 2005.
