cabernet franc
la cloche
A great wine has been described as tasting like the sound of a bell ringing. We always wanted to make such a wine and this remarkable vintage gave us that opportunity. This is Cabernet Franc at its finest. A perfect growing season followed by October rains of 17 inches, unprecedented in the past 100 years, followed by 2 weeks of sunny, dry and windy weather concentrated ripe flavors in an extraordinary manner. “La Cloche”(“The Bell”) demonstrates why we believe the North Fork of Long Island is one of the best places in the world to grow Cabernet Franc.
