2005 cabernet franc

The Estate Series is Jamesport Vineyards' flagship wine collection. These wines embody the care and dedication to growing the very best fruit in the vineyards, carefully handling it in the winemaking process, and aging or releasing at the optimum time.


Tasting Notes

This is an excellent example of what cabernet franc can achieve here on Long Island. The wine is dark ruby in color and has concentrated dark fruit aromas of black cherry and black currants. The mouth feel is rich, round and soft with flavors of cherry, chocolate and spice. Pair with flavorful dishes such as veal, fowl or game. Ready to drink now, but will continue to improve in bottle for many years.
